Words matter and convey reality. The first works of Mark, “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God”. Likewise Genesis: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”. Beginning is a noun and adjective. THE gospel begins with Jesus – there is no other gospel apart from Him. It’s the beginning of salvation and life. Jesus does not simply represent – He is THE source of life and salvation. The Word of God matters.
