Divine Service for 7/6/14; Pastor Houser’s sermon from Matthew 11:25-30. The old Adam loves to believe he is at the center of the universe. However everything is tainted by sin and we must look to another. It’s Law/Gospel. God’s gift to us, our Lord Jesus Christ, is not born of the law. This is where the Gospel must be heard. “Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden. I will give you rest…you will find rest for your souls.”
