9 am Sunday morning Divine Service for 1/25/15. Traditional liturgy and law gospel sermon. Pastor Bagnal’s sermon. Gospel reading Mark 1: 14-20. “Fishers of men” from today’s gospel gets abused and usurps the Holy Spirit.

Jesus says, “Repent and believe in the gospel…I will make you fishers of men.” However we are the fish – not the fisherman. We are not the instrument of God’s grace – the Holy Spirit is. The gospel is at work in us. We are the fruits of God’s word.
